What Support Does STaR Offer?
Information about inclusive early childhood education and resources to support E CEC educators and services leaders are available on our ‘For Professionals’.
The key to effective, ongoing support for children with disability or developmental delays in early childhood settings is you, the people who work with these children every day.
STaR Education courses will equip you with the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to:
- assess children’s development and participation,
- design and implement plans that promote further development and meaningful participation,
- use a range of evidence-based teaching strategies, and
- work in partnership with families of children with disability or delay and with other professionals involved with the children and families.

Can’t find the right course for your team? Contact us using the form below to discuss how we can develop a professional learning course to suit your needs.
We will work with you to develop an individualised guided practice project for your ECEC service, building on your team’s strengths and focusing on the specific skills and knowledge needed to best support the engagement and participation of children at your service. This project will include professional development (PD) sessions – either in person, live online, or a combination; typically, followed by on-the-floor coaching and resources to help you put the PD content into practice. We will also help you to reflect and plan for how your team can sustain the new practices at the end of the project.
Eligible ECEC services may work with their Inclusion Support Program Inclusion Professional to apply for Innovative Solutions Support funding to fund the guided practice project.
