Follow-up session 6: Inclusion in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Services
In this webinar you learnt about what inclusion is and the legal and ethical obligations related to the inclusion of children with disabilities or delays in OSHC services. Barriers to access and potential solutions to these barriers were explored. You reflected on what participation in school age care settings looks like in practice and how to collaborate with others and structure your environment to support the participation of all children.
In this 30-45 minute follow-up session, we will reflect on the following questions:
- What resources can you access to support your inclusive practice?
- Think about a student at your service. What socially valuable role could you give them to increase their participation and belonging?
Come to the session prepared to discuss resources you have used or would like to use (including people, services, and online resources) and at least one socially valuable role you could give to a student at your service.
